This tone-on-tone treatment for master colorists delivers the shine of a gloss while enhancing or neutralizing tones. Aura is an oil hair color. Its plumping and shine-enhancing formula contains fermented borage, almond, and linseed oils. It’s the perfect ammonia-free alternative to enhance the color and achieve camouflage effects on white hair.

AURA is a new-generation, multi-functional fluid hair color that adapts to different salon services depending on how it is used and mixed. From toning bleached hair and lengths, to camouflaging white hairs, to the glossing and plumping effect of a gloss. The color chart develops into 27 shades created to effectively personalize the color present on each client’s hair, plus 1 Fusion Clear, pigment-free, to create an intense glossing service or dilute other shades, achieving completely personalized results.

Baobab oil

Pressed from the fruit’s seeds, it has intensely moisturizing properties.

Brown and green algae extracts

Thanks to their concentration of polyphenols, amino acids, trace elements, and vitamins, they have a broad spectrum of effectiveness on scalp and hair:

The products in the AURA line are formulated without ammonia and without resorcinol. They are vegan certified and nickel tested. AURA shades are contained in glass bottles that are 100% recyclable and infinitely reusable.

How to use:

For toning (or gloss service): standard application 1:1.5 with the Incolor Aura 5 volume (1.5%)liquid color activator on damp, towel-dried hair. Leave on for up to 20 minutes with visual monitoring.

For a more intense deposit of color/camouflage: full application 1:1 with the nourishing Incolor 20 volume (6%) activator to dry hair. Leave it on for 30 minutes. 

Rinse thoroughly with appropriate post-chemistry products, condition, and proceed with drying and styling.

The bad guys who can’t come in:

-      SLS/SLES - These aggressive and potentially irritating surfactants have no place in our formulas. Instead, we use plant-based surfactants that perform just as well but are kind to the skin.

-      Mineral oils or petrolates - These substances derived from crude oil form a film that can prevent the scalp’s oxygenation. The environmental cost is enormous. That’s why, where possible, we’ve replaced them with naturally-derived ingredients that are just as effective but far more sustainable.

-      Silicones - Silicones are inorganic silicon polymers. Their film-forming properties provide instant shine for the hair. However, they can accumulate and linger in the environment. That’s why we’ve gradually eliminated them from our formulas.

-      Parabens and MIT - These preservatives are commonly used in cosmetics; however, they are potentially irritating. Therefore, depending on the products, we replaced them with milder ones accepted by organic certification bodies.

-      Synthetic colorants - Insight products are free of synthetic colorants unless the color is functional for the product.

-   Nickel - Nickel is found in nature and is a potential sensitizer. That’s why all our products are nickel-tested.

ROUNDTABLE ON SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL (RSPO)

Uncontrolled palm oil production is a threat to the rainforest. We have decided to combat this practice by joining the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). This non-profit organization unites all the stakeholders in the palm oil supply chain. Its goal is to prevent deforestation and protect human rights. We use only certified sustainable palm oil (CSPO) and prefer it over other vegetable oils with a lower yield that could contribute to further land consumption.

These are the questions we ask ourselves when we analyze our packaging, and that have led us to replace plastic with endlessly recyclable materials like glass and aluminum. Sustainability and functionality are indispensable, but we believe packaging should be appealing, too. That’s why each Insight pack is an original creation that embodies lightness and elegance.

Looking at a better future through glass 

Packaging waste is one of the beauty industry’s biggest challenges, with 130 billion pieces of packaging produced every year, most of which turn into microplastics. To reduce the environmental impact of our products, we decided to analyze their lifecycle first. Plastic only gets recycled three times before being sent to landfills or incinerators. That’s why we chose glass and aluminum. These materials are more expensive but can be recycled infinitely without losing their purity, drastically reducing waste pollution.  

The discreetness of glass 

Our amber-colored polished glass pots and bottles are pleasant to the touch and protect the product from UV radiation. Glass is a fascinating material. It can be used and reused infinite times without ever losing its qualities. Then, when its life comes to an end, it turns into sand and leaves quietly without anyone noticing.

The honesty of aluminum 

The aluminum in our tubes doesn’t pretend to be something else. When you squeeze that tube, it seems like a living entity that changes shape. Aluminum is super resistant; it can be recycled infinite times, and it’s honest because every stage of its lifecycle—from extraction to production and from use to recycling—is documented and traceable, allowing for an accurate analysis of its environmental impact.

Our labels, what a pioneer!

Ocean Action labels give new life to plastics that otherwise would end up in the ocean, threatening the entire marine ecosystem. Our labels are the first made from ocean-bound plastic in the cosmetic sector. They are completely recyclable and solve a big problem.

An RFID tag for every product 

Every Insight product has an RFID tag, a radiofrequency-based tracking system. This system simplifies logistics and speeds up inventory checks and management. It also ensures the authenticity of the Insight product anywhere in the world.

RafCycle: turning waste into resources

The RafCycle upcycling program allows us to recover incinerator-bound label release liners and transform them into other materials to make new products. All this helps us reduce waste, transform it into resources, and promote a circular economy.
